IN A NUTSHELL...

For 20 years I’ve been a digital creative, leading and 'hands-on' creating campaign sites, games, animation, interactive apps, print, branding, social content, online advertising, and in-venue experiences. I've also won a few awards and currently run my own agency, Remo Creative.

I design, write, draw, animate, consult, direct and mentor, alongside amazing colleagues and trusting clients all with a healthy dose of fun… becuase I really can't imagine doing it any other way.

WEBSITES

From 'experiential microsites' for film and TV marketing campaigns to FMCG and Retail brochure-ware, I've designed literally hundreds of websites for multiple client sectors.

While I now 'stick to the design', I've had years of development experience which has left me with a broad knowledge of development practices and possibilities.

ALPHA TOYS

I was invited to pitch for (and won) the all new Alpha Group UK's website, AlphaToysUK.com. I desgined a simple but fun website with some nice movement and animated touches to bring some life to their catalogue of toy brands.

CLANGERS

After winning the pitch, my team and I created the first official website for the new Clangers TV series. We also produced games, social assets and digital advertising and we've recently rolled out the new-for-2019 Clangers.com website

REMO CREATIVE

A website for my own small digital agency, Remo Creative. Designed to let the work shine, it's a small portfolio of our latest work.

NOMINET

A Webby-Award-winning website for Nominet documenting the highs and lows of 'the internet'. Completed while part of the team at agency Brands2Life.

TOTTENHAM TURFIES

A completely new online kids club for Tottenham Hotspur FC, including gamification mechanics, virtual collectibles and a whole load more. Launched in 2013, the campaign is no longer live.

POPPY CAT

Clients Coolabi wanted a new online destination for Poppy Cat fans. The result is a family-friendly simple site and 2 cute games.

PAPER OWL

A new website for the Norther Ireland-based TV production company.

SCREAM STREET

A vibrant new website for the new Coolabi/BBC series, Scream Street. My team and I also produced 2 games - Resus Rocks and the spooky-selfie-making, iScream

MY LITTLE PONY

For 2012, my team and I were engaged by SuperAwesome/Hasbro to create the all-new My Little Pony Friendship Club website - a members-only site full of games, activities, gameification elements and community-focussed challenges. Having run for 7 years, the campaign is no longer live.

BEAST QUEST

Having created the original Beast Quest website back in 2014, my team and I were tasked with the production of the all new 2019 Beast Quest website.

GAMES / INTERACTIVE

For over 20 years online games and interactive experiences have been my speciality and my passion. I've created them not only to market films and TV shows, but also as stand-alone interactive entertainment and engagement tools for a wide range or clients to explain technical hardware, drive recruitment, train staff or sell products.

FERDINAND

For 20th Century Fox, my team produced a suite of 5 games for the international release of Ferdinand. The games are built in HTML for cross-device play have been localised for 23 territories.

FLIGHT CLUB

I've been immensely proud to have been a part of Flight Club's journey to 'social darts' superstardom since the very beginning. My team and I were responsible for developing the product from it's inception including all on-screen tech - the customer user interface, the games, scoring systems, leaderboards, animation and admin controls... in fact, everything bar the camera tech.

CAPTIVE MEDIA

Urinal games. Yep, that's right. Captive Media's innovative tech solution is a screen that sits above the urinal and detects your... ahem... 'stream'... which we then use to control the games. I've made numerous games across a number of famous drink and lifestyle brands

ROYAL AIR FORCE

Through agency WCRS (Engine) I led the development of a promotional game for the RAF's Air Ops team's recruitemnt drive. It was the most successful online recruitment campaign they'd ever had, driving recuitment by over 200%.

MOANA

For the release of Disney's Moana, I produced a platform game featuring the film's coconut-clad mini-pirates, creating all assets from illustration to animation.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN

I've lead the creation of numerous pan-European websites, interactive apps, games, display advertising and even a 'real' Pirate Island on Google Earth for a number of Disney's Pirates franchise films.

MAZE RUNNER

For the release of 20th Century Fox's Maze Runner series finale, Death Cure, I produced a retro-inspired maze game alongside my long-time collaborator and 'uber-developer' Jop, inluding a multiplayer mode (no longer available) and packed full of mini-challenges. Localised across 18 territories we also produced a cut-down version of the game for Snapchat.

THE MR MEN SHOW

A smash-hit pinball game to promote the (then) new Mr Men Show - placed on Miniclip, the game received over 10 millions plays in it's first few weeks and over 50 million in the subsequent year (requires Flash).

VMWare

A multi-track, top-down, competition-based, socially connected racing game for VMware's Life in the Fast Lane campaign

NATIONAL ARMY MUSEUM

PR agency Woof approach me to create an interactive experience for the National Army Museum's 'Waterloo 200' pop-up events, commemorating the Battle of Waterloo.

My team and I created a touchscreen app full of games and a competition menchanic, which was installed in their pop-up exhibition space

ZOOTOPIA

Another stand-out game for Disney, achiving over 4 million plays across 5 territories in the 12 weeks around film launch, with an average play-time of over 5 minutes.

LEGO

A multi-level game for the launch of Lego's Heroica buildbale board game series of products.

PREMIER LEAGUE KIDS

My team and I created a suite of 6 games for the Premier League Kids digital campaign.

EL ROYALE

A couple of games for Fox's slick new 'film noir', Bad Times at the El Royale.

MY LITTLE PONY

Numerous games and activties to support the My Little Pony Friendship Club.

SHAUN THE SHEEP

My team was approached by Aardman and the BBC to create the official website and games for their (at the time) new show, Shaun the Sheep, now a global phenomenon. Let the sheep-based punns begin...

TALES OF THE ROAD

4 games to accompany the official website for the Department for Transport's brave new 'Tales of the Road' campaign. Each game focused on the scary outcomes of poor road safety.

ANIMATION

For over 20 years I've created countless animations for advertising, promotions, product demos, games and everything in between. My work has been seen in games, across big brands' social channels, displayed at events, OOH display advertising and even made it onto TV. I'm skilled in Adobe Animate (previously Flash), After Effects and Premiere.

Numerous internal and consumer-facing social assets and animations for drinks brand Appletiser, including this internal brand history animation.

BRANDING / LOGOS

I have a wealth of experience in branding and logo design for products, services, companies and even other agencies. Below are just a few examples, but my involvement ranges from building brands from scratch or developing new visual identities to re-imagining or udating existing logos.

CREATIVE JUICES

I've been lucky enough to help London-based bewery Creative Juices to find their new identity. I developed their brand look including a new logo, animated brand collateral, illustration and label designs.

REDTAIL

UK/US telematics company Redtail had a visual identity that had remain unchanged since the ealry 90s. I took their existing logo and gave it a refresh, staying true to the original while presenting a clean new modern look that all stakeholders could buy into.

BRANDS2LIFE

In 2014, having worked as a freelance digital Creative Director for the Lond-based PR and Comms agency Brands2Life, I was invited to work on updating their branding. I produced a new visual identity and website based on their 'flavours of business impact' philosophy. Then, in 2018 I was invited back to redevelop their visual identity again.

BILLY MARSH ASSOCIATES

I was invited to update the visual identity of one of Londons most repsect theatrical agencies, with clients inluding Bruce Forsyth and Jon Culshaw. I took the 'showbiz' feel of their existing brand and updated it for a much more chic, clean and modern look.

TOTTENHAM TURFIES

Launched in 2013 and running until 2018, I was responsible for the concept, backstory and branding for Tottenham Hotspur FC's new online kids campaign the Tottenham Turfies. I also led the development of the website, games, print and digital OOH display advertising.

PRINT, DESIGN & ILLUSTRATION

While I'm a digital designer at heart, I have a huge range of 2d design, print and illustration experience designing infographics, illustration, print advertising, POS, merchandise, display units, design concepts and storyboards.

PRINT / POS

The vast majority of my professional experence is digital design and aniamtion, however I have also produced assets for a large number of print campaigns, most notably for HarperCollins and David Walliams. Typical campaigns include advertising (posters, 4/6-sheets, print ads), POS materials (display units, standees, bunting, window clings) and merchandise (badges, balloons, bookmarks, sticker sheets etc).

HAND-DRAWN ILLUSTRATION

While I spend most of my days with a graphics tablet pen in my hand, I do still get to pick up a pencil from time to time. I illustrate for stories, to sell ideas, to flesh out storyboards and for personal gratification.

INFOGRAPHICS

Using a mix of design and illustration, I've created dozens of infographics for a wide range of clients and subject matter.
